The "Royal Carpet" variety of Alyssum is the taller and more colorful strain of its close cousin – Alyssum "Carpet of Snow".
A very versatile flower, "Royal Carpet" can be planted just about any time throughout the season both indoors and out.
Make sure Alyssum "Royal Carpet" seeds are properly watered to stimulate healthy germination.
One of the easiest annuals to grow, Dwarf Royal Carpet Sweet Alyssum adds color and fragrance to the front of flowerbeds or along the edge of walkways.
It's also a very charming plant for patio containers and window boxes.
This heirloom variety and All-America Selections winner, grows just 2-4 inches tall.
When it blooms, the masses of purple flowers can cover most of the foliage.
Sweet Alyssum grows very quickly and easily from seed.
Its seed can be started indoors about 4-6 weeks before the last frost date in your region, or the seeds can be directly sown into the garden.
Plant in full sun to partial shade. Dwarf Royal Carpet Sweet Alyssum is part of the Parfum de Bloom™ series.

Sweet alyssum flowers (Lobularia maritima syn. Alyssum maritimum) are useful in alpine rock gardens, b

Flowers arise in June to October and can be encouraged to rebloom by cutting back spent flowers.
