Hairy Beardtongue is a perennial wildflower which is native to the northeastern U.S. and eastern Canada.
The tubular flowers are light purple with white lips, and the stems and leaves have a downy coat of soft hairs.
It is found in sandy or dry prairies, open woods and fields.
The flowers attract native bees.
